Let me add some additional context regarding food-related intellectual property/know-how.
Generally speaking, opening a physical store overseas involves significant capital investment, navigating unfamiliar legal/regulatory systems,
and heavy day-to-day operations. Despite the substantial effort put into launching such stores, many of them carry the risk of closing within just 2–3 years.
We take on the important brand (logo) and recipes entrusted to us by Japanese food manufacturers and restaurant operators,
and by identifying high-quality operating partners on the ground in the U.S. and other overseas markets, we offer alternative go-to-market options —
for example, deployment through food courts, delivery-only operations, vending machines, or by licensing the IP to frozen food companies.

Through this kind of lower-risk first step,
we support a process in which brands can build a genuine following among local customers before moving forward into full-scale,
brick-and-mortar store expansion.

I believe Japan is a wonderful nation, full of intelligence, compassion, and empathy.
Yet, however imperfect the phrasing, its young people simply lack vitality
— and even in broken English, they lack the conversational drive to push their own will through to the other side.
As the world accelerates into deeper chaos, it is precisely Japan's youth who I want to see leading
— by 2050 — not a world of competition, but a world of co-creation.
To make that happen,
I want to send 100 young people from Japan every year on a short-term dispatch to New York,
a city where the world's highest level of vitality swirls,
and have them — in broken English — sell things like onigiri from a street cart.
Rain or wind, no matter what, sell until every last one is gone.
I want to build that kind of platform, and send young people brimming with vitality back to Japan.
I'm going to create the "Institute for Developing Next-Generation Global Citizens"!
