In July 2026, SASAL Inc. was selected for the Small Business Sustainability Subsidy (General Program), a support initiative administered by the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency under Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
This subsidy program is designed to support small businesses in expanding sales channels, improving productivity, and achieving sustainable business growth. Applicants are evaluated and selected through a review process based on their management and business plans.
In the 19th application round, 7,819 applications were approved out of 16,576 submissions, resulting in a selection rate of 47.2%.
We believe this selection reflects the value of SASAL’s efforts to build a cross-border business ecosystem connecting Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as our platform business that supports collaboration among companies across markets.
The subsidy will be utilized to support market development and promotional activities aimed at increasing awareness of the SASAL platform and expanding its user base. Through these initiatives, we seek to create and deliver more cross-border business opportunities to companies around the world. In addition, we will continue to strengthen our network of businesses, investors, professionals, and support organizations, accelerating the creation of international business opportunities beyond national borders.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to MANABE Administrative Scrivener Legal Office for their invaluable support throughout the application process, from advising on subsidy utilization to assisting with the development and refinement of our business plan.
In addition, the SASAL platform provides opportunities for companies considering subsidy programs or business planning initiatives to connect with experts, including MANABE Administrative Scrivener Legal Office and other experienced professionals.
SASAL remains committed to building a cross-border business platform centered on Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. By connecting businesses, investors, professionals, and support organizations, we aim to create new business opportunities and support sustainable international growth for companies worldwide.
Based on these discussions, we selected the most appropriate subsidy program to help bring these plans to life. Taking into account both SASAL’s business direction and the objectives of the subsidy program, we then worked together to refine the specific initiatives and develop the application.
Rather than simply assisting with the subsidy application itself, we were pleased to provide comprehensive support throughout the entire process—from developing plans with SASAL’s future growth in mind to preparing the application—and are delighted that these efforts ultimately led to the successful approval of the subsidy.
Looking ahead, we hope to continue supporting SASAL over the medium to long term, adapting our support as its business grows and evolves and helping the company pursue new opportunities and further expansion.
